The conference schedule includes afternoon free time to allow participants to experience and enjoy the natural beauty of the Grand Tetons. Weather permitting, several group activities are available:
Horseback Riding
No equestrian experience is necessary to participate in the 1-hour guided ride on the trails surrounding Jackson Lake Lodge. Scenery includes Christian Pond, a trumpeter swan nesting ground, and Oxbow Bend of the Snake River, as well as fabulous views of the mountains.
Fly Fishing
Fishing guides will give beginner lessons and take participants out on a stocked pond to try their hands at fly-fishing. All necessary gear is provided. (Availability is limited, so participation will require registration in advance.)
Calm-Water Rafting
A scenic 3-hour rafting float trip on the peaceful water of the Snake River offers a unique view of the area and provides a great opportunity for wildlife watching!
Hiking
Participants may choose to hike the scenic trail along Jenny Lake to Hidden Falls. The hike is beginner/intermediate level and should take no more than 3 hours.
For attendees who wish to extend their visit past the conference, other activities, including boating, fishing, and golfing, are available through the Lodge. Check at the Activities Desk in the main lobby.
